This is probably my fav poem. I got it out of the Chicken Soup for the Teenage soul. I always read it when I am feeling down.
After a While
After a while you learn the subtle differnce between
holding a hand and changing a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company
doesn't mean secruity,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats with your head
up and your eyes open, with the grace of an adult,
not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans.
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if
you get too much.
So plant your own garden and decorate your own
soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you
flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong,
And you really do have worth. This is my fav song. The lyrics are so strong, and the singers voice makes it incrediably awesome. Plumb is a great group, and if you havent heard of them before you should check them out! Damaged

I call your name but recieve no answer
I try to see through the darkness
But only see shadows of the past
I see that you were never there
I needed your love so badly
I needed your support
I needed your strength

Why did you turn from me?
What did I do to deserve so much pain?

I wrote this poem, after spending time with this really sweet, and incrediable guy! Because of You
I never saw the beauty of a sunset.
Until I watched the sunset with you.
Then everything began to have new meaning.
And all of my dreams were coming true.
Now I can say, the stars really mean something.
And I can say, theres gold at the end of a rainbow.
And what you've done, to me is something that you will just
never know.
Because of you, my eyes were finally opened up, and I can
see.
Because of you, my life has finally turned out, the way I
wanted it to be.
And I wouldnt trade this feeling, for anything or anybody.
Nothing can compare.
Now all I wanna do, is wrap you in my arms, and show you
that I care.
Because of you.
